Although I was aware of this system's limitations, I believed I could modify it such that coin and stamp inspection and recording would function. For that, it is just too strong. It's excellent if you need to see fibers in fabric or a little section of a stamp. Because it is a good micro tool and has all of the characteristics that are claimed, I gave it a five star rating. Not worth devaluing because of my error.

The Carson eFlex 75x/300x digital microscope arrive on time. The set up and performance matched the video demonstration. This small gadget should meet expectations of any hobbyist. My hobby is rock and mineral collection. I am already amassing a significant collection of close-up micro-mineral photos, small mm crystals etc. In some instances you have to manipulate the flexible stand and make adjustments to your focus but once you get how it all works it is a great purchase for the money. A similar device at a major rock and mineral show several years ago was offered at over $250.00. Strongly advised.

In non-polarized mode, the instrument can provide information about the superficialskin structures, such as milia-like cysts, comedo-like openings, and pigment in theepidemis.

The dermoscopy requires applying a liquid such as mineral oil or alcohol to the skin andplacing the lens in contact with the skin. This reduces surface reflection and enhancesthe view of subsurface structures.

Polarized contact Mode

In polarized mode, the instrument allows for visualization for deeper skin structures,such as blood vessels, collagen, and pigment in the dermis.
